Preliminary Draft Redevelopment Plan: Neighboring HOAs, Stakeholders, and Public Meetings

The Town of Telluride and Telluride Ski Resort have been diligently working on the redevelopment plan for the base of Chair 7 and Carhenge Parking Lot. On Tuesday, July 9, both entities, along with their consultants from Design Workshop and CCY Architects, presented the first draft renderings of the possible redevelopment plan for public review. This presentation included conceptual site and parking plans, character images showcasing potential architectural design options, public amenities including active and passive play areas, and park space. The meeting also featured a robust public comment period for questions and feedback.

During the public comment session, several meaningful discussions took place regarding parking and traffic, view corridors from existing adjacent properties, and pedestrian/bike movements within the Southwest Area. The Town and Telski will compile all the feedback received and explore opportunities to incorporate these ideas into a future development plan for the site.
