Telluride Air and Lodging: September 15 - 21

Via Telluride Tourism Board LODGING UPDATE The destination will see a nice occupancy bump over the next two weeks, with total occupancy (paid and owner) pacing 14% ahead of 2022 at 56%, and paid occupancy up by 20%. Average daily rate (ADR) has dropped 19% YOY at $440. Occupancy peaks at 82% on the Saturday of Blues and Brews, and largest YOY occupancy growth occurs at the end of the month. Mountain Village paid occupancy from 9/15 – 9/29 has increased by 54%, and Telluride paid occupancy has decreased by 22% during the same time period.    Total occupancy over Telluride Brews and Blues weekend is pacing 12% ahead of last year’s festival, at an average of 75%. ADR over the festival weekend has decreased by 9% at $605.   Winter for the destination continues to pace strong, with a 24% increase in total occupancy. March is showing the most growth, currently 43% ahead of 2022 bookings, possibly due to Easter and Semana Santa falling on the last week of March in 2024. Mountain Village total occupancy pace is ahead 40%, and Telluride pace is behind by 6%.      AIR UPDATE Summer bookings have continued to level off to yearly averages over the last several weeks, with summer still pacing up about 10% overall. While July and August finished up around 15%, due in large part to late fill from sustained high heat in our core markets, September and October are currently pacing flat YOY. The winter schedule is going through final adjustments, and very early bookings are fairly soft at this stage.
