LODGING UPDATE

Destination total occupancy (paid & owner) from now through the end of January is pacing 1% behind 2024 at 48%, and paid occupancy is down 3%. Average Daily Rate (ADR) is up by 14% compared to the same period last year, resulting in an 11% increase in Revenue per Available Room (ADR). MLK weekend continues to pace behind YOY, although has filled-in since last week’s report. Total occupancy is pacing 12% behind, currently at 50% compared to 57% (last week was tracking 21% behind). 
 
Q1 continues to lag slightly YOY, with total occupancy currently 4% lower due to a slower January, February tracking 1% behind, and March currently flat. Bookings were strong over the last week, with an occupancy growth of 2 points over the Q1 period. Presidents’ Day week is looking strong, pacing 5% ahead of last year, currently at 71% occupancy.

AIR UPDATE

With solid bookings coming into January, overall winter numbers are running even to just up over last year. The holiday period, from the Thursday before Christmas to the Monday following New Year's, finished up 3% on passengers.

December also finished up 3% for the month, while Jan and Feb continue to pace down, but with a narrower gap now of a few points. March bookings are up 8% YOY as it continues its strong early showing. Traffic from now to Presidents' Day runs fairly even week-to-week.
