🚧 Alta Lakes Road Closure

Due to significant deterioration, Alta Lakes Road is currently closed for stabilization and widening. The closure will remain in place until GMUG and San Miguel County crews complete necessary improvements.

❌ Blue Lakes Access Closed Through August

The beloved Blue Lakes area is temporarily closed through August 2025 for trailhead construction and restoration work. The area will reopen as soon as it is deemed safe by environmental and trail experts.
