Film Festival tents are going up around town and there's a chill in the air - summer is slowly winding down in the mountains!
We hope you have your dancing shoes handy - there is plenty of toe-tapping live music going on this week. Telluride Chamber Music Happy Hour returns on Wednesday with "A Night at the Movies", Ethan J. Perry is performing at Music on the Green on Friday, the Telluride Choral Society is hosting their SummerSing Potluck on Saturday, the SHOW Bar is hosting a Happy Hour with Desert Hollow on Sunday, and there will be live music at Altezza all weekend long.
Other fun events on Friday include the International Fly Fishing Film Festival at the Sheridan Opera House, a Sip and Dip Pool Party at the Mountain Lodge, and a performance of Mind Blown (there are only two shows left for the summer).
Foodies should definitely check out the Telluride Farmers' Market on Oak Street on Friday, as well as the Market on the Plaza on Wednesday in Mountain Village. The Ah Haa School for the arts also has several cooking events with visiting chefs Alexi Mandolini and Taylor Herbert of the Easy Vegan. They include: Plant-Based Kitchen Basics on Tuesday, Plant-Forward Plates and Cocktails and a Special Seasonal Supper on Wednesday, and a Launchpad Dinner that includes a multi-course experience and cocktail pairings.
