WHAT'S HAPPENING THIS WEEK

Can you believe it's already Labor Day weekend? The fall colors will be here before we know it, but we're still soaking up warm days of summer while we can!

Nothing says Labor Day like the Telluride Film Festival! Telluride and Mountain Village venues will be filled with cinema enthusiasts, filmmakers and artists all weekend long for the 50th annual Telluride Film Festival. There are over 80 feature films, short films, and revival programs, as well as world premieres of Emerald Fennell’s “Saltburn,” George C. Wolfe’s “Rustin,” Jeff Nichols’ “The Bikeriders” and Alexander Payne’s “The Holdovers.”

There are only two more Fridays of Music on the Green, including tomorrow with the Sweet Lillies and next week with JD Clayton. You can also catch live music at Altezza Thursday through Sunday or Wednesday night at Telluride Arts HQ for Chamber Music Happy Hour with Claire Beard and Travis Fisher (when you need a break from the theater).

On Wednesdays, head to Mountain Village for a day of fun at the Market on the Plaza and the Dog Days of Summer Adoption Event (think cute dogs and cats!). If you prefer to stick in town, be sure to check out the Telluride Farmers' Market on Oak Street Friday.

The September edition of the Telluride Art Walk will take place next Thursday at participating galleries around town, plus, the Ah Haa School for the Arts will be hosting a ROOFPOP! happy hour with popsicles, cocktails, mocktails and more.

Other entertainment options include Mind Blown (the last one of the season)or a Food and Wine Pairing Class with 221 South Oak's Eliza Gavin on Friday, or a insightful stroll through town on Tuesdays and Thursdays with the Telluride Historical Museum.
